The Stand & Roll is a standing aid that moves easily in and around the house. Standing is a great alternative to sitting and as a standing orhtosis the Stand & Roll functions as an excellent supplement to your regular wheelchair.

The design
The Stand & Roll is designed with four braked castors is designed without large 'driver wheels': this means Stand & Roll users will be reliant on external guidance when moving around. Just like the Nomad and Stand & Roll this device adapts and ‘grows’ with its user. The tubular frame and adjustable components enable our specialists to modify your Runner at any time and help them to combine and interchange parts from different Orthos products.
Runner vs. Stand & Roll
Just like the Stand & Roll the Runner is also a standing orthosis. Both orthoses show many similarities but differ in use: With its two comfortable driver wheels the runner lets its user have full control over all movements. The Stand & Roll on the other hand is designed with four braked castors: the users of this model will be reliant on external guidance when moving around.

Move and improve.
Standing up straight appropriately contributes to the correct development of the human body. The Orthos Runner and Stand & Roll therefore provide a great alternatives to regular wheelchairs. Standing improves blood circulation; it gives the human skeleton a more even bone loading and therefore stimulates growth; standing supports better organ functioning; it counteracts bed sores. In addition, standing provides an upright view of the world helping users to interact more naturally with their surroundings.

For both the Runner and Stand & Roll there are two different standing systems to choose from:
1. A fixed custom-build hard plastic shell system.
2. An adjustable ready-made foampad system.

The Orthos standing system

The custom-build shell guarantees a 100% fit for the upper body and upper legs. The hard plastic black shell is extremely rigid and provides the user with optimum comfort.
The ready-made foampads are a more flexible alternative to the fixed shell system. The extremely comfortable pads are easily adjusted and allow for the device to grow with its user. The adjustable foampad system is extremely rigid and provides the user with perfect support.
In addition a solid and easily adjustable working table can be added to both devices.
